Marlins set to host Brewers, Cardinals at Marlins Park

Homestand to a feature Fireworks Friday, Saturday Spectacular, Giveaways and more

The Miami Marlins are set to host the Milwaukee Brewers (June 10 - June 12), followed by the St. Louis Cardinals (June 14-June 16) at Marlins Park. The six-game homestand will feature several great promotions and special events.

On Monday, June 10, the Marlins begin a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:10 P.M. Military servicemen and women, veterans, police officers, firefighters and all local first responders with proper I.D. can claim free tickets at the Marlins Park north ticket office as part of South Florida Heroes Mondays presented by Outback Steakhouse. Also, fans can get the Marlins All You Can Eat Special for just $22, which includes a Vista Level ticket and all you can eat Kayem Beef Franks, Peanuts, Popcorn, Nachos, Pepsi soft drinks, and Aquafina water. All You Can Eat seats in the Legends Level are also available for $32 each.

On Tuesday, June 11 fans can take advantage of the Miami Herald Half Price Tuesday offer and get half priced tickets in Legends Silver, Baseline Reserved, Bullpen Reserved and Home Run Porch on any Tuesday home game in 2013.   Offer is available online at marlins.com and at the Marlins Park Ticket Office.

On Wednesday, June 12, kids 12 and under can eat free on Kids Eat Free Wednesday Nights. Fans can also take advantage of the Chevron "Crazy 8's" Ticket Offer and get $8 Home Run Porch tickets or $18 Home Plate Box tickets to any Wednesday home game in 2013 with the purchase of eight (8) gallons or more from any South Florida Chevron station. When filling up with gas, fans can scan the QR at participating Chevron stations to receive a coupon code for specially priced Marlins tickets. The coupon code must be entered when purchasing tickets for any 2013 Wednesday Marlins home game at Marlins.com/Chevron. Fans can also present their receipt at the Marlins Park Box Office to receive specially priced tickets. Limit of eight (8) tickets per transaction.

After an off day, the series against the Cardinals starts on Friday, June 14 at 7:10pm. Every Friday home game this season is a Fireworks Friday, where fans can enjoy a Fireworks Show over Marlins Park from the comfort of their seats immediately after the game. Also on Fridays, fans can purchase the Sir Pizza 4-Pack, which includes four (4) tickets, four (4) personal Sir Pizzas and four (4) Pepsi soft drinks, all for $60 and available on every Friday night home game. 

The three-game series continues on Saturday, June 15 at 4:10 P.M. with a post-game performance featuring Christian Hip-Hop and Rock musicians, THI'SL, JSON & FFH presented by Metro Ford as part of Beast Mode for Christ Fellowship Day. This Saturday Spectacular will feature pregame entertainment on the West Plaza from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and an autograph session with a Marlins player inside the New Era Team Store from 3:00 to 3:20 P.M. The All-You-Can-Eat Seats will also be available on Saturday Spectaculars, for just $27 in Vista Reserved or $37 in Legends Silver. Like Mondays, menu items will include unlimited Kayem Beef Franks, Peanuts, Popcorn, Nachos, Pepsi soft drinks, and Aquafina water.

On Family Sunday, June 16 at 1:10, fans are invited to celebrate Father's Day at Marlins Park. As part of Marlins Family Sundays, the first 5,000 dads will receive a Marlins Fedora hat. Pregame fun will feature entertainment with Radio Disney AM 990, DJ Petey and the Marlins Energy Team. During Snapshot Sunday on the Promenade Level outside of Section 28, fans can take photos with a Marlins player from 12 P.M. to 12:20 P.M. Post-game entertainment will include Diamond Dash where all kids 12 and under can run the bases, and the Marlins Foundation will host a special Play Catch with Dad. The Play Catch with Dad event is sold out. On all Family Sundays, fans can pick up the Pepsi 4-for-$54 Pack ,which includes four (4) tickets, four (4) Kayem Beef Franks and four (4) Pepsi soft drinks, starting at just $54.

SOUTH FLORIDA HEROES OF THE GAME: As part of South Florida Heroes Mondays, the Miami Marlins will honor a current police officer, first responder, and armed forces member during the game; a Marlins player will be presenting them with an award. Prior to the game they will have a private meet and greet with Marlins players.

LETTERS TO THE TROOPS / SAVANNAH'S SOLDIERS: The Marlins are partnering with Savannah's Soldiers in bringing back the Letter's to the Troops campaign. Marlins outfielder Chris Coghlan encourages fans to visit section 16 throughout the game and participate in the letter writing campaign thanking our service men and women.

Savannah's Soldiers is a letter writing campaign started by grade school student Savannah Madison. They collect letters from kids across America and continue to send them to brave men and woman all year long until they all come home.

The Little Warrior Project was founded to provide military children with direct programs specifically designed for their unique needs. Our goal is to provide them with the tools & support needed to improve morale, welfare and overall quality of life.

BUSES FOR BASEBALL: Through Buses for Baseball, local inner-city youth groups are treated to a day at the ballpark. The program is a cooperative effort among the Players Trust for Children, the Marlins, and the local transit authority -- the Players Trust for Children arranges the day, the Marlins supply 50 tickets and refreshments, and the transit authority supplies the bus. As the kids arrive at the stadium, they are welcomed by Marlins players for a special meet & greet and an exciting and unforgettable experience.

MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION DAY: The Marlins are hosting a special night at the ballpark to celebrate the work Make A Wish Foundation is doing in our South Florida community. There will be an on field presentation before the game, and special experiences for several Make A Wish children which includes meet and greets with Marlins players, delivering the games line up cards to the umpires, dropping the rosin bag on the pitcher's mound, and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Make A Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. YOU CAN PLAY NIGHT: The Miami Marlins are teaming up with the South Florida Gay News and the You Can Play organization to have an LGBT and Allies Youth Night when the Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals. There will also be a social mixer with guest speakers one hour prior to the game.

To better serve the homeless in South Florida, the Miami Rescue Mission (MRM) expanded their services into Broward County under the name, Broward Outreach Center (BOC).

The 130-bed BOC Hollywood offers a comprehensive program designed to meet the needs of South Broward County's homeless population. Clients are taught life skills that help them to develop goals for going back into the community as productive, tax-paying citizens.

REVIVING BASEBALL IN INNER CITIES BASEBALL CLINIC: As part of the Marlins Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program, all baseball Seniors and Junior division participants will take part in a clinic hosted by our players and coaching staff. RBI players will take swings in the batting cages as well as throw in the bullpens and receive defensive instruction in the outfield. Participating schools include Miramar High School, Miami Jackson Senior High, Hialeah Gardens High School, Miami Central Senior High, Hialeah High School, and others.

About Marlins RBI:

Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is a youth program offering children ages 13-18, who live in disadvantaged areas, the opportunity to participate in organized baseball. This program is designed to promote interest in baseball, academic achievement and social responsibility in underserved and disadvantaged areas of South Florida. The Marlins supply the uniforms, umpires and equipment for more than 500 children. All participants enjoy a fun and competitive summer league, clinics hosted by Marlins players and alumni, recognition on the field and an invitation to RBI Night, and the opportunity to be selected for the RBI All Star team that competes in the Southeast Regional Tournament.
