Max Schrock Channels Kirk Gibson

In Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, Kirk Gibson, with injuries to both legs, hit a two-run walk-off home run off of Dennis Eckersley. Max Schrock hadn’t even been born, but that didn’t stop the University of South Carolina sophomore, hobbled by a sprained ankle, from hitting a pinch-hit two-run, game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth against Mississippi on Saturday.
