Minnesota Twins Announce Partnership With Barrio

Twin Cities Favorite to Brand New Space Inside Target Field

The Minnesota Twins and Barrio today announced a new partnership that includes branding of a new bar/restaurant located adjacent to the left-field foul pole (inside Gate 6) at Target Field. Barrio at Target Field will feature fresh Latin cuisine and the wide selection of tequila that have drawn accolades for the restaurant since their debut in downtown Minneapolis in 2008.

The new space will feature an impressive 420-square-foot video display encircling the top of the bar, as well as several video monitors so fans can keep track of the Twins, other MLB action as well as social media. The lounge will include tiered standing room drink rails facing the field, several high-top tables and a cabana-style seating area. The entire area will also feature overhead radiant heat for those days and nights when the weather is less than perfect.

"We couldn't be more excited to add our flavor to the experience at Target Field," said Ryan Burnet, President of Barrio Restaurant Group. "What really excites me about the space is that this is going to create a unique destination within the ballpark that pairs perfectly with summertime."

"We are thrilled to partner with a dynamic local brand like Barrio to help us make the most out of this new space at Target Field," said Dave St. Peter, Twins President. "Given the popularity of the many restaurant and bar areas at Target Field, we know Barrio will be a draw for people who not only love baseball, but those who come to Target Field to connect with their friends, family or business associates."

Mortenson Construction, builder of Target Field, is currently working on the new space, which is scheduled for completion prior to the Twins Home Opener on Monday, April 13.

New in 2015, fans with tickets to the game can be the first to the party every Friday night. Barrio will open early every Friday night home game for fans to enjoy exclusive drink specials from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

In addition, the space will be open as part of the Twins' Thirsty Thursday Nights, during which fans can enjoy happy hour including $2 drafts and $2 rail drinks along with appetizer specials from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Barrio, which opened in 2008, currently has four Twin Cities locations including Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina and Bloomington.
