Nationals announce 2014 Spring Training Schedule

'14 Spring slate capped with DC exhibition game against the Tigers, Saturday, March 29

The Washington Nationals today released their 31-game 2014 Spring Training schedule, which features 14 home games at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, FL, including their Grapefruit League home opener on Saturday, March 1 vs. Atlanta.

The Nationals begin their Grapefruit League campaign on February 28 in nearby Port St. Lucie against the Mets, and conclude their exhibition slate by hosting the defending AL Central Champion Detroit Tigers on Saturday, March 29 at Nationals Park. Just two days later, on March 31 at Citi Field, the Nationals begin the '14 regular season against the Mets.

The Nationals Grapefruit League slate includes home dates against the Yankees (Tuesday, March 11), NL Champion Cardinals (Sunday, March 9) and a pair of visits from the AL Central Champion Tigers (Sunday, March 16 and Thursday, March 20).

Nationals fans making the trek to Viera should note the Nationals host five games in as many days at Space Coast Stadium against the Yankees, Braves, Cardinals and Astros (twice) from Friday, March 7 - Tuesday, March 11.

Spring Training season packages, which include all 14 home openings, will be available online beginning on November 15 at 10:00 a.m. at nationals.com/spring .

Beginning January 13, three-game Flex Plans will be available exclusively at nationals.com/spring. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for any three games on the 2014 Spring Training home schedule, starting as low as $33 per plan (limit four flex tickets per plan).

Individual-game tickets for all Nationals spring contests at Space Coast Stadium will be available beginning February 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Space Coast Stadium Box Office, by visiting nationals.com/spring.
