Espinosa's sliding grab shows his glove versatility

WASHINGTON -- Nationals infielder Danny Espinosa may be having difficulty hitting with consistency, but he is having no trouble with the glove, and he proved it once again Sunday during a 4-1 victory over the Phillies.

With one out in the fourth inning, Freddy Galvis hit a popup near the third-base seats. Espinosa chased it down and made a nice sliding catch.

"I don't think he ever played third base in college," teammate Stephen Strasburg said. "He was a shortstop and a second baseman here. With his arm, he can play so deep, it's great for a pitcher. With his athleticism, on that bunt, what [Cesar] Hernandez tried to do [in the third inning], he made it look easy."
