Nationals unveil 2013 Spring Training slate

Club opens in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on Feb. 23, will host 15 games in Viera

WASHINGTON -- Bryce Harper, Ryan Zimmerman, Stephen Strasburg and Jayson Werth are some of the good reasons to watch the Nationals during Spring Training. On Friday, the team released its 2013 Spring Training schedule, which features 15 home games at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla.

The Nats' exhibition schedule will start on Feb. 23, when they play the Mets in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The next day, Washington will host Miami at Space Coast Stadium.

The Nationals will also play their postseason rival, the Cardinals, at Space Coast Stadium on March 3 and 8. The Nats gave the Cards a battle in the National League Division Series, but ended up losing in five games.

Washington will also play five exhibition games against NL East rival Atlanta. The Braves will play their first season without Chipper Jones, who wrapped up his career in 2012.

Spring Training season tickets, which include all 15 home games, will be available on Monday at 10 a.m. ET at nationals.com/spring for as low as $255.

Individual-game tickets for the Nationals' 15-game home slate will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 19 at the Space Coast Stadium Box Office, by visiting nationals.com/spring or calling 888-632-NATS (6287).

Beginning Jan. 7, three-game flex plans will be available exclusively at nationals.com/spring. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for any three games on the Nats' 2013 Spring Training home schedule, starting as low as $33 per plan (limit four tickets per flex plan order).
