New MLB All-Star campaign launches, celebrating baseball's best
With the first wave of MLB All-Star Game balloting results set to be revealed later today, the road to the 85th Midsummer Classic is officially in full swing. To help mark the occasion, MLB has launched a new spot celebrating the annual gathering of baseball's best players sharing the same field.
The new spot - created by BBDO and featuring the hit song, "The Man" by Aloe Blacc -- features outstanding plays from many of the game's top stars and recent All-Stars, including Jose Abreu, Miguel Cabrera, Yu Darvish, Paul Goldschmidt, Carlos Gomez, Derek Jeter, Evan Longoria, Joe Mauer, Andrew McCutchen, Yadier Molina, David Ortiz, Buster Posey, Yasiel Puig, Giancarlo Stanton, Mike Trout, Troy Tulowitzki, Justin Upton and Adam Wainwright. Continuing the "For the Love of Baseball" campaign launched at the outset of the season, the spot celebrates everything that makes baseball's best players special.
The spot is set to run on ESPN, FOX, Fox Sports 1, MTV2, and MLB Network beginning today. It can also be viewed on MLB.com and MLBFanCave.com. The 2014 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 15th at Target Field in Minneapolis, live on FOX.
