Promotions & Special Events

A's MUG Root Beer Float Day: On Wednesday, June 26, the Oakland A's will host their 14th annual MUG Root Beer Float Day. A's manager Bob Melvin, current players including Yoenis Céspedes and Ryan Cook, former players including Frank Thomas and various local celebrities with serve root beer floats in the Eastside Club from 10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Admission to the event is free with a ticket to that day's A's vs. Reds game. Proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. [SEE SEPARATE ADVISORY]

Dog Day at the Park: The A's will hold their eighth annual Dog Day at the Park, presented by Avoderm, Nylabone and Bio Spot, on Friday, June 28. This year's event will feature a pregame pup rally and pup parade around the field. Each dog will receive a goodie bag. The A's will donate a portion of the proceeds to Dogs4Diabetics.

"Coco Lean" Bobblehead: On Saturday, June 29, 15,000 fans will receive a "Coco Lean" Bobblehead, presented by NetSuite, when the A's host the Cardinals.

Holiday Inn Postgame Remote: The A's postgame radio show, hosted by Roxy Bernstein, will be held at the Holiday Inn Oakland Airport on Saturday, June 29. A's third baseman Josh Donaldson will be interviewed live. Fans can win A's prizes and enjoy food and beverage specials. The Holiday Inn Oakland Airport is located at 77 Hegenberger Road in Oakland.

Patriotic Themed Fireworks: The A's third fireworks show of the season is on Wednesday, July 3. This special patriotic themed show, presented by GovX.com, begins after the A's play the Cubs. Fans can watch the show from the outfield grass. On-field capacity is limited.

Green Checkered Picnic Blanket: On Thursday, July 4, 10,000 fans will receive a green checkered A's picnic blanket, presented by Comerica Bank, when the A's host the Chicago Cubs.

Community Relations

A's Amigos: On Tuesday, June 25, an A's player will visit with Spanish-speaking children from Manzanita Recreation Center as part of the A's Amigos program. In addition to the pre-game chat, each child will receive a game ticket and an A's hat. A's Amigos is supported by Kelly Moore Paints and XFINITY.

Take the Field with the A's: The Take the Field with the A's program gives youth baseball and softball teams the chance to live out their Major League dreams. On Wednesday, June 26 and Sunday, June 30, youth players will join Oakland A's players on the field during the National Anthem. Each participant receives an autographed baseball and t-shirt, courtesy of the A's Community Fund.

Little A's: On Wednesday, June 26, as part of the Little A's program, deserving youth and their chaperones of non-profit organizations will have the opportunity to attend an A's game free of charge. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a Bank of America souvenir and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo and Clorox.

A's Senior Day: On Wednesday, June 26, 300 seniors from local senior centers will receive free tickets to the A's vs. Reds game, courtesy of the A's Community Fund Senior Day program.

Food Bank Wednesdays: At Wednesday home games, fans can donate five cans of food or $5 at one of the Alameda County Community Food Bank tents outside the ballpark and receive a two-for-one ticket voucher for a future A's game.

A's Community Fund Golf Classic: The 31st annual A's Community Fund Golf Classic, presented by Chevron and Grant Thornton LLP, is set for Thursday, June 27 at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. Proceeds from the event will benefit the A's Community Fund. In addition, the Pepsi Celebrity Putting Contest, featuring A's players partnering with First Tee of Oakland youth players, will raise funds through a 50/50 raffle to benefit the First Tee of Oakland. A's Relief: A's part of the A's Relief program, the A's bullpen is honoring unsung Bay Area heroes who choose to do the right thing in the community. On Saturday, June 29, A's Relief will honor Lorrain Taylor, founder of "1,000 Mothers to Prevent Violence," which eases the detrimental and traumatic impact on homicide and violet crime victim survivors. Taylor's twin sons, Albade and Obadiah, were both lost to gun violence.

Sport Clips Charity Cuts: Sport Clips Haircuts and the A's have partnered to celebrate America's Armed Forces. On Tuesday, July 2 through Thursday, July 4, fans can get a free haircut at the game (behind Section 235, before the seventh inning) when they donate $10 or more to Freedom Alliance. Freedom Alliance has donated tickets for each game to families of servicemen. Additional funds will be raised through the A's Community Fund silent auction.
