No. 44 hosts Luzardo's Cheesesteaks for Charity at Citizens Bank Park

At Thursday night’s game against the New York Mets, Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo hosted “Luzardo’s Cheesesteaks for Charity,” in partnership with The Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation, Campo’s and Aramark Sports + Entertainment.

A portion of the proceeds from all Campo’s cheesesteaks at Thursday’s game benefited The Nemours Foundation. Fans at the ballpark also had the opportunity to meet with No. 44 during a special meet-and-greet in Ashburn Alley; those who donated $44 to the cause could take a photo with Luzardo.

Plus, representatives from The Nemours Foundation, and even Nemours Therapy Dogs, were there to thank fans for their support.

Luzardo’s Cheesesteaks for Charity is part of the pitcher’s continued commitment to making a difference in the community, support youth-focused initiatives both in Philadelphia and beyond.
