Old School Video of the Day: Hideo Nomo

Back in 1995, Japanese pitching sensation Hideo Nomo caught the baseball world by storm. Nomo, as a 26-year-old rookie with the Los Angeles Dodgers, posted an impressive 13-6 record and 2.54 ERA while striking out 236 batters in 191.1 innings pitched. It was an incredible debut for the right-hander, who would go on to win 123 games in the Major Leagues.

In the years leading up to his arrival in the United States, Nomo was dominating hitters in Japan. Today, we stumbled across footage of him pitching in 1992. A young Nomo, unorthodox delivery and all, had great stuff.
