Hunter on pitching staff for Japan All-Star Series

BALTIMORE -- Right-handed reliever Tommy Hunter will represent the Orioles this month at the Japan All-Star Series, which includes five games between Major League players and Japan's national team, Samurai Japan.

Hunter is one of 14 pitchers on the team, which will be managed by Red Sox skipper John Farrell. Outfielder Adam Jones was originally selected, but he was unable to make it due to other commitments.

The All-Star Series will be preceded by an exhibition game on Tuesday, and there will be another exhibition on Nov. 20. The five-game series will take place from Wednesday through Nov. 18.

MLB.TV subscribers will be able to watch every game live and on-demand online and on supported mobile devices via the MLB.com At Bat app.

Hunter, 28, went 3-2 with a 2.97 ERA in 60 games for the Orioles in 2014. He allowed 20 earned runs over 60 2/3 innings, with 11 saves.
