O's seek ballot boost after latest ASG update
BALTIMORE -- The latest 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot vote totals were released on Monday, and the Orioles have three players in the top five at their respective positions.
Adam Jones, who had been fourth the previous two weeks, has 1,995,897 votes and is now at the No. 5 spot behind Alex Rios (2,311,122) among outfielders. Catcher Caleb Joseph and third baseman Manny Machado are both in fifth place. Machado has 562,311 and trails fourth-place Adrian Beltre (619,494), while Joseph has 400,802 and is quite a ways behind fourth-place Yankees backstop Brian McCann (750,605).
Fans can cast their votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.
