O's to open 2015 spring slate against Tigers

NEW YORK -- The Orioles will open up next season's Spring Training schedule on March 3 with a 1:05 p.m. ET game in Lakeland, Fla., against the Detroit Tigers, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The O's, who released their full slate of Grapefruit League games, will open their home schedule the next day, with a 1:05 p.m. game against the Tigers.

Baltimore will host 10 opponents over 16 games at Ed Smith Stadium, which is in its fifth season since being renovated and sixth overall as Baltimore's spring home.

The O's will host the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays three times each and the Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates twice each. They will also play the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals at Ed Smith Stadium.  

The O's will play 18 road games, including three trips to play the Blue Jays and Twins, and two trips to play the Braves, Pirates, Rays and Tigers. They'll make one trip to play the Cardinals, Phillies, Red Sox and Yankees.

Single-game tickets for all 16 games at Ed Smith Stadium will go on sale on Jan. 24, 2015.
