Out call stands after Mattingly challenges

LOS ANGELES -- In the fourth inning of Tuesday's game against the Giants, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly unsuccessfully challenged an out call at second base.

Trying to turn a single into a double, Dodgers left fielder Scott Van Slyke was called out by second-base umpire Dan Bellino after a tag by third baseman Pablo Sandoval.

After an umpire review, the play stood, though Van Slyke was credited with a base hit.
