San Diego Padres and GOVX partner to extend Military and first responders ticket discount to online purchases
Baseball's "Team for the Military" Is Among the First MLB
The San Diego Padres and GOVX announced today the launch of the first online verification ticketing service for U.S. Military and government first responders as part of an overall Major League Baseball initiative. The program, offered through new technology and verification partner, GovX, will offer discounted Padres tickets for those who serve and protect, including first responders, active and veteran U.S. Military and related government employees.

Through its multi-platform technology, GovX will provide a direct sales channel that will be integrated with the Padres ticketing platform to ensure accurate verification for fans of the San Diego Padres. In addition, GovX will be the presenting sponsor of the Padres' San Diego Police Department salute on Tuesday, August 20, one of six First Responders salutes this season.

To access the discounts, which are available for all regular season home games, qualified fans can visit the designated first responder recognition page on Padres.com/military or Padres.com/firstresponder. Upon selecting the desired game, users who are not already GovX members are directed to a simple online verification page to complete the one-time verification. From there, users proceed with their ticket selection, where the discount is automatically applied. The purchased tickets can be emailed or downloaded.
