The theme for the 2012 event is "Escape to the Hamptons."  As always, Triple Play features Rangers players competing in game shows, and the club today announced the 2012 player participants for a pair of new competitions.

Are You Smarter than a Pitcher? will feature the teams of Colby Lewis-Joe Nathan, Mike Adams-Derek Holland, and Scott Feldman-Matt Harrison with Mark Lowe and David Murphy serving as panelists. Competing in the $40,000 Pyramid will be the teams of Nelson Cruz-Josh Hamilton, Elvis Andrus-Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler-Mitch Moreland, and Mike Napoli-Michael Young.

A very special part of the evening will feature the presentation of the 2012 Triple Play MVP Award to Pamela Monk for her relentless and tireless commitment to giving kids a chance to play baseball in the RBI and Jr. RBI program in Dallas. A long-time Rangers season ticket holder and a passionate Dallas Park and Recreation Department employee, Pam oversees all aspects of the Dallas ISD and City of Dallas RBI and Jr. RBI programs including scheduling of all games, equipment distribution, umpires, team management, recruitment and parent involvement. Pam coordinates the partnership between the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, the City of Dallas, Dallas ISD, and the Dallas Police Athletic League. In 2012, Rangers players Adrian Beltre and Yu Darvish along with Rangers manager Ron Washington joined with the Foundation to financially support RBI in our community.

The evening, which serves as the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation's largest fundraiser, also features live and silent auctions and attendance by the entire Texas Rangers team. The event begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner, the program, and the game shows. Ian and Tess Kinsler and Michael Young and Cristina-Barbosa Young are the hosts for the evening and Fox Sports Southwest's Emily Jones will be the Mistress of Ceremonies.

Park Place Dealerships is the title presenter of Triple Play, with other sponsors including Fox Sports Southwest, CBS11, TXA21, 103.3 FM ESPN, and 1540 AM ESPN Deportes.
