McCartney adds Miller Park to 'Out There' Tour

MILWAUKEE -- Thanks to Miller Park's convertible roof, Paul McCartney is guaranteed better weather for his first Milwaukee stadium show in 20 years.

McCartney has added Miller Park to his "Out There" Tour on Tuesday, July 16, the same night as the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in New York. It's the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's first Milwaukee show since he sold out the Bradley Center in 2005, and his first stadium show in Milwaukee since he played to a rain-drenched crowd at County Stadium in 1993.

The tour includes some other MLB stadium shows previously announced: July 9 at Fenway Park in Boston, July 12 at Nationals Park in Washington, and July 19 at Safeco Field in Seattle.

The Brewers and Live Nation formally added Miller Park to the docket on Monday morning. On the day of the concert, stadium parking lots will open at 5 p.m. CT, and the show is set for 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $39.50-$255 and go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. CT via Brewers.com/McCartney and the usual array of Brewers outlets.

That section of the site also includes information about VIP Packages, which go on sale Tuesday at 9 a.m. CT. American Express cardmembers can purchase tickets in a pre-sale from Tuesday at 10 a.m. CT through Thursday at 10 p.m.

McCartney will play the second big stadium show at Miller Park this summer. Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes Nation" concert on May 18 is already sold out.
