Peanut-controlled section returns to PNC Park

Pirates to partner with Mylan on fourth Food Allergy Awareness Night

The Pittsburgh Pirates will once again partner with Mylan on Food Allergy Awareness Night at PNC Park on Friday, May 8. This is the fourth consecutive season the Pirates have partnered with Mylan, one of the world's leading generics and specialty pharmaceutical companies (NASDAQ: MYL).

During the game a "Peanut-Controlled" area of the ballpark will be provided for fans who have a peanut allergy. The Pirates have reserved The Left Field Deck for these fans - along with their families and friends - to enjoy a night at the most beautiful ballpark in America, as the Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for Food Allergy Awareness night and tickets for the special peanut-controlled section are available now at pirates.com/aan.

In addition the night, like every Friday home game, is a Free Shirt Friday and the first 20,000 fans to enter PNC Park will receive a Pittsburgh Pirates' Clemente Bridge tee shirt, compliments of Mylan.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Mylan's hometown team, to host Food Allergy Awareness Night," said Roger D. Graham Jr., president of Mylan Specialty. "We are proud to work together to help families affected by peanut allergies enjoy an evening at the ballpark. We hope that this event continues to educate the community and increase awareness about food allergies, a serious public health issue that is on the rise."

Approximately one in 13 U.S. children lives with a food allergy, and life-threatening allergic reactions occur in up to one in 20 adults.

May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month and the Pirates and Mylan will partner all month long to raise awareness among Pirates fans at PNC Park.
