Perfect LeBlanc, Polanco power Marlins vs. Zephyrs

Lefty dominant for four frames, while infielder homers twice in exhibition finale

Wade LeBlanc and the Marlins shined with a 7-0 shutout against their Triple-A affiliate New Orleans Zephyrs on Saturday. LeBlanc was perfect through four innings, striking out three Zephyrs batters.

The Marlins came out of the gate hot with a two-run homer by Placido Polanco in the top of the first to take an early 2-0 lead. The veteran infielder didn't stop there, belting a three-run shot in the fourth, and he finished 2-for-3 with five RBIs. The two homers were the Dominican Republic native's first of the exhibition season.

Miami's bullpen carried on its starter's red-hot hurling, as six relievers allowed just three hits and zero walks the rest of the way.

After an off-day Sunday, the Marlins will take the field next in Washington on Monday at 1:05 p.m. ET for their Opening Day game against the Nationals.
