Four home game times adjusted for national telecasts

Pirates face Cardinals May 11 in first Sunday Night Baseball game at PNC Park

To steal a line from classic Hollywood-speak, the Pirates appear to be ready for their closeup.

The starting times for four games at PNC Park during the 2014 season have been adjusted to accommodate national telecasts, including the Bucs' first home appearance on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball.

The May 11 game against the Cardinals, originally scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET, has been reset to 8:05 p.m. ET for ESPN.

The Pirates will begin taking their national bows on Opening Day. Their March 31 opener against the Cubs will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, a half-hour sooner than originally scheduled, upon selection as part of ESPN's Opening Day lineup.

The starting times of two Saturday games have been altered to accommodate national telecasts:

• May 24 versus Washington, moved from 4:05 p.m. ET to 7:15 p.m. ET for FOX.

• Aug. 30 versus Cincinnati, moved from 7:05 p.m. ET to 4:05 p.m. ET for FOX Sports 1.
