Bucs, second-round pick Keller agree to terms

The Pirates have agreed to terms with Mitch Keller, their second-round selection in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft.

Keller, who was taken with the No. 64 pick in the Draft, agreed to a deal with a signing bonus worth $1 million, which is slightly more than the assigned value ($866,800) for the pick.

Keller, a right-handed pitcher from Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is the second of Pittsburgh's top picks to sign. Cole Tucker, a prep shortstop who was taken by the Pirates with the 24th pick in the Draft, agreed to a deal with a signing bonus worth $1.8 million on Monday.
