Pirates Unveil New Digital Camouflage Alternate Home Jersey

Pirates Unveil New Digital Camouflage Alternate Home Jersey

The Pittsburgh Pirates today unveiled a new camouflage alternate jersey. The jersey, which will be worn on Thursday home games throughout the 2015 season, features a brown digital camouflage pattern and includes black "Pirates" lettering and number outlined in gold.

A patch of the Pirates "Jolly Roger" logo appears on the left sleeve, while a patch of the American Flag is proudly displayed on the right sleeve.

The Pirates also unveiled a digital camouflage cap that will be worn in conjunction with the alternate jersey on game days. The cap features the same brown digital camouflage pattern on the crown, a black bill and a black Pirates "P" logo in gold trim.

"Supporting our military members and their families is one of the main areas of focus for Pirates Charities and our community outreach programs," said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. "This is a way for the organization to publicly honor those who served our country and to help support our military families for the sacrifices they have made."

In addition to wearing the jersey and cap, the Pirates will partner with military-focused community organizations during those games by hosting groups at PNC Park, holding special on-field recognitions and raising needed funds in support of these military programs.

The remainder of the Pirates uniform line-up (home white, road gray, black alternate, 1970's inspired Sunday alternate) will remain unchanged for the 2015 season.

The complete lineup of Pirates jerseys and caps will be on display and available for purchase at PirateFest throughout the weekend, as well as at the Pirates Majestic Clubhouse Store at PNC Park.
