Pittsburgh's first gourmet burger and shake concept, to open new location in PNC Park

American classics: burgers, shakes and baseball are together at last

On March 31 (Opening Day), BRGR, part of the S+P Restaurant Group, is opening its newest location in PNC Park Section 115 behind home plate. As the original gourmet burgers and handmade shakes restaurant in Pittsburgh, BRGR is partnering with the Pirates in order to join together two American classics, baseball and the classic burger and shake concept.

"Just like baseball, BRGR is quintessentially Americana: authentic and timeless," said Richard Stern, Partner, S+P Restaurant Group. "The smell of burgers sizzling on the grill, the crack of the bat, the chill of a frothy milkshake and the roar of the crowd is what comes to mind when I think about a great American summer. Partnering with the Pirates allows us to bring that vision to life at PNC Park. We are thrilled to bring another BRGR to Pittsburghers and Pirates fans."

BRGR's PNC Park menu will feature four gourmet burgers, the Abso-Bac'n-lutely, exclusive to the ballpark, Shrooms, Fire in the Hole and California Lovin', along with parmesan and herb BRGR Fries and signature BRGR Cole Slaw. The handmade shakes available at the ballpark include the Salty Caramel, Strawberry Fields and Vanilla Bean and Dark Chocolate. The BRGR stand will also feature a Shake Express line for customers that only want a specialty shake.

In addition to Cranberry, East Liberty and the BRGR Food Truck, the PNC Park stand will be the fourth BRGR concept to open in Pittsburgh. These gourmet burgers and handmade shakes will also be coming to the Galleria of Mt. Lebanon in the Fall of 2014. BRGR is one of three restaurants under the S+P Group umbrella joining Grit & Grace and Spoon.
