Puig day to day after passing concussion test

MIAMI -- A concussion test on Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig was negative Sunday and he was listed as day to day after he ran into the outfield fence at Marlins Park on the final play of Sunday's 5-4 Dodgers loss to the Marlins.

According to club officials, the left side of Puig's head and left side of his lower leg took the brunt of the blow when he slammed into the padded support post of the right-field fence trying to catch Jeff Baker's walk-off double, and the ball caromed off the wall and hit Puig in the head.

Puig landed hard on the warning track and was attended to by medical personnel and teammates while the Marlins celebrated their win. He was helped to the clubhouse by trainer Stan Conte.

Puig did not speak to reporters after the game.
