Knorr, Henley, LeCroy rejoin Nats' organization
After not renewing coaches' contracts, club adds trio in new roles
WASHINGTON -- Randy Knorr, Bobby Henley and Matt LeCroy are back in the Nationals' organization. It comes a week after their contracts were not renewed as Major League coaches.
Knorr, who was Washington's bench coach the past four seasons, will now be a senior assistant to general manager Mike Rizzo. Knorr will work in player development. Knorr spent six years as a Minor League manager and knows the organization well. He is still expected to interview for the Nationals' vacant managerial post.

"Randy has been a source for this organization for many, many years," Rizzo said last Monday. "He's managed in the Minor Leagues. He's got a great rapport, not only with the front office, but with the players in the clubhouse. He would be a great candidate for anybody's managerial job."
Henley, who was the third-base coach, is now senior adviser in player development, while LeCroy will become the manager for Double-A Harrisburg.
Before joining the Major League staff, Henley managed in the Minor League system, and he was a catching coordinator for seven years before becoming a Minor League field coordinator.
This will be LeCroy's second stint with Harrisburg (2012-13). In 2013, the Senators finished second in the Eastern League with a 77-65 record.
LeCroy replaces Brian Daubach, who will become the hitting coach for Triple-A Syracuse. Daubach is best known for his years as a player with the Red Sox.
