Rangers honored with Lone Star Emmy

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers were honored at the Lone Star Emmy Awards Gala this past Saturday in Houston, winning in the category of Writer - Short Form.

The category involved promotions, commercials and public service announcements for the script writing of Rangers commercials in 2013 and '14. The team's director of creative media, Jerod Couch, was the recipient of the Emmy.

The compilation of spots submitted for Emmy consideration by the Rangers consisted of 14 commercials, five from 2013 and nine from '14.
