Rangers reinstate outfielder Jim Adduci from 15-day disabled list

Adduci was placed on 7-day concussion disabled list on August 29

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced this afternoon that the club has reinstated outfielder Jim Adduci from the 15-day disabled list. He will be active for tonight's game against Houston.

Adduci was placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list on August 29 and automatically transferred to the 15-day disabled list on September 13 after a 14-day period of inactivity. He was injured and left the game on August 28 at Houston after hitting his head on the warning track and side wall while making a catch in foul territory in the fourth inning. Adduci has batted .173 with one homer and 8 RBI in 42 games with Texas this season. He was also on the disabled list from April 18-July 20 with a fractured left little finger.

With today's transaction, the Rangers now have 33 players on the active roster for tonight's game against Houston. Three of those 33 players, Alex Rios, Miles Mikolas, and Michael Choice, have been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury.
