Rays partner with Pet Pal Animal Shelter for Pet Food Drive September 20

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—The Tampa Bay Rays and Pet Pal Animal Shelter—a no-kill, nonprofit shelter in St. Petersburg—are partnering on a Pet Food Drive at Tropicana Field on Thursday, September 20 during the Rays-Red Sox game at 7:10 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring Science Diet brands, or other nutritious dog and cat food to assist the Pet Pal Animal Shelter community.  The collection points are located inside the rotunda at Gate 1 and at Gate 5 of Tropicana Field.

The Rays Wives and volunteers from the shelter will staff the collection points from when gates open until the end of the 2nd inning.

Pet Pal Animal Shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit organization committed to rescuing dogs and cats from animal shelters that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training.  Pet Pal is also dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.

To donate, or for additional information, visit petpalanimalshelter.com  or call (727) 328-7738.
