Rays return to Tropicana Field to host Yankees, Angels

Highlights include Mystery Ball, Fernando Rodney Ticket Tandem, Moore Cowbell and Jennings the Jet Action Figure Giveaways

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Following a three-game set in Baltimore, the Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field to host the New York Yankees (August 23-25) this weekend. The Rays then head to Kansas City on Monday for one game (the makeup game from May 2, which was postponed due to inclement weather) before hosting the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game series (August 27-29).

During the weekend series vs. New York, the Fernando Rodney Figurine is again available exclusively through the purchase of a Tampa Bay Times Ticket Tandem. A Ticket Tandem includes a ticket to any of the three games plus the special edition figurine (only available through this offer) capturing Fernando Rodney's "Shoot the Moon" celebration. This package may not be combined with any other offer. For Ticket Tandem details, visit raysbaseball.com/tandems.

When gates open for Saturday's Rays-Yankees game, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Moore Cowbell, presented by Dairy Queen.

Newly-inducted Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Warren Sapp is scheduled to throw out the first pitch prior to Saturday's game.

The Rays Wives will also host the third annual Mystery Ball to benefit All Children's Hospital on Saturday when the Rays play the Yankees. Wrapped baseballs autographed by Rays players and All-Stars from around the league will go on sale at Gates 1 and 5 when gates open for $40 each. Because each baseball is wrapped, fans will not know whose autograph they received until after purchase. There will also be a silent auction of game-used and one-of-a-kind Rays items.

Prior to Sunday's 1:40 p.m. game on August 25, kids 14 and under will receive a Jennings the Jet Action Figure (while supplies last), modeled after Rays center fielder Desmond Jennings and presented by RE/MAX.

Due to the make-up game at Kansas City scheduled on Monday, August 26 against the Royals, the 2013 Maddon's Summer Social has been canceled. The Rays apologize for any inconvenience and have issued a full refund of all donations for this event. With any additional questions, please contact the Rays Community Relations Department at (727) 342-5719 or [email protected].
