Red Sox announce 2012 home game times

Tickets for Select Home Games on Sale Starting Saturday, December 10, at 10 a.m.

BOSTON, MA - The Boston Red Sox today announced the start times for their 2012 home games at Fenway Park. The popular "Sox Pax" and single-game tickets to the April and May home games will be available on Saturday, December 10, starting at 10 a.m. online, by phone, and at the 9th Annual Christmas at Fenway presented by Stop and Shop event held at Fenway Park.

Boston's 2012 home opener will take place at Fenway Park against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, April 13 at 2:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on NESN, the club's television rightsholder.

The Red Sox will play five Saturday day games at Fenway Park during the 2012 regular season and, in addition to the home opener, Boston has eight weekday afternoon contests scheduled, including Patriots Day on Monday, April 16 against the Tampa Bay Rays at 11:05 a.m.

The Red Sox will host the Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins in Interleague Play from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10, and Tuesday June 19 through Thursday June 21, respectively.

To commemorate Fenway Park's 100th birthday, the Friday, April 20 game against the New York Yankees will start at 3:05 p.m., the exact start time of the 1912 game that was played against the then-New York Highlanders. That series will continue on Saturday, April 21 with a 4:05 p.m. game.

All Saturday night games at Fenway Park are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. or 7:15 p.m. starts while Sunday day games are slated to begin at 1:35 p.m.

To purchase tickets beginning on December 10 for the April and May home games, fans can log on to redsox.com or call the automated ticket line at 888-REDSOX6. Fans will be able to purchase "Sox Pax" and single-game tickets to April and May games with the exception of the April series against the New York Yankees for which a special random drawing will be held at a later date. Tickets for the remainder of the season will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans who require accessible seating can call 877-REDSOX9. The Red Sox open the 2012 season on the road with a three-game set against the Detroit Tigers beginning on Thursday, April 5 at 1:05 p.m. ET at Comerica Park in Detroit. Boston's complete 2012 home and road schedule is attached. All times included in the attached schedule are Eastern Time and subject to change. All regular season games are televised on NESN (with the exception of FOX Saturday and ESPN Sunday Night Games) and broadcast in English on WEEI 93.7 FM/850 AM and network affiliates and in Spanish on WWZN 1510 AM.
