There has not been an announcement on a makeup date yet, but the Reds and Tigers share four common off-days on Aug. 3, 17, 24 and Sept. 17.

Thursday's game was the last of a four-game home and home series that started in Detroit on Monday.

The game was delayed before the first pitch was even thrown with thunderstorms expected to hit the area around 7:30 p.m. After a 37-minute delay, officials decided to postpone the game.

Justin Verlander (0-0, 3.60 ERA) was scheduled to make his second start of the season for the Tigers, while Mike Leake (3-4, 4.35 ERA) was scheduled to start for the Reds.

Leake will now start on Friday in the three-game series opener against the Marlins, Anthony DeSclafani will start on Saturday and Michael Lorenzen will start on Sunday.

This is the third postponed game of the season for the Reds and the first for the Tigers.

Fans holding tickets for Thursday's game may present their same ticket at the gate for the rescheduled game with no exchange necessary.
