Rutledge activated from DL, sent to Triple-A
KANSAS CITY -- The Rockies took care of some roster housekeeping on Tuesday when they activated infielder Josh Rutledge from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Rutledge had been placed on the DL on May 2 because of a viral infection. He hit .318 in 11 games for Colorado with one homer and four RBIs.
"Rut is going to get his at-bats down in Triple-A," manager Walt Weiss said before Tuesday's series opener against the Royals.
