Rox's communications, marketing now under Campbell

Organization restructures to make one department, brings in Miller as director

The Rockies have restructured their communications and marketing departments, bringing together baseball and business functions under one department.

In doing so, the organization has named Jill Campbell vice president of communications and marketing, and brought in longtime MLB media relations professional Warren Miller to serve as director of communications.

Campbell, who has been with the Rockies for 23 years, has been instrumental in developing the team's social media strategies, advertising campaigns, marketing programs, special events and media tools in past years. She will manage the Rockies' public and media relations, along with her responsibilities in the communications and marketing department.

Miller, who most recently spent eight years with the Padres, has spent 17 years in Major League Baseball with San Diego, Seattle and Houston. He will oversee day-to-day media relations as it pertains to baseball activity.

Nick Piburn will continue to serve as assistant director of communications and Matt Whewell will maintain his role as manager of communications.
