Royals fans can purchase WS on-field logos

Starting on Friday, Royals fans can have their own special piece of the team's 2015 World Series title.

The Royals Authentics store is selling pieces of the World Series logos that were painted on the field at Kauffman Stadium, and fans will be able to purchase a 6-by-6-inch piece of the grass.

A limited number of pieces will be sold with a plastic holder for $40, and pieces without the holder will sell for $30. Both will also contain infield dirt. Fans may purchase up to two pieces at the store at Kauffman Stadium. Orders by phone or email will not be accepted.

The store will be open from 3-7 p.m. CT on Friday. With the limited availability (500 swatches will be made available), fans are encouraged to arrive early and enter at Gate B. If the pieces do not sell out on Friday afternoon, Royals Authentics will reopen at 11 a.m. on Saturday until 4 p.m. or when supplies run out.

Extended team store hours are currently 7 a.m.-6 p.m. through Sunday, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday beginning next week.
