Omaha Storm Chasers (60-56)

The Storm Chasers had Wednesday off after a 4-4 homestand. They are at Colorado Springs (Rockies) tonight.

NW Arkansas Naturals (22-23 second half, 47-68 overall)

The Naturals held on at home. They scored four in both the fourth and sixth, then added a solo homer by Mitch Maier in the seventh. Ethan Chapman had two hits and three RBI. Juan Graterol and Mark Threlkeld added two RBI apiece. Starter J.C. Sulbaran held the Hooks to a run over 4.0 innings and Mark Peterson earned his first Double-A save.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (20-23 second half, 53-58 overall)

The Blue Rocks were blanked for a second straight night by Myrtle Beach. Starter Luis Santos struck out six while allowing five runs, seven hits and no walks over 5.0 innings. Yender Caramo (2.0 IP), John Walter (1.0 IP) and Zeb Sneed (1.0 IP) held the Pelicans scoreless in relief. Jack Lopez, Daniel Rockett and Bubba Starling recorded singles.

Lexington Legends (17-29 second half, 46-70 overall)

The Legends were swept at home by Rome. The Braves scored all four runs in the first off of Pedro Fernandez (4.0 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 1 SO). Matt Tenuta followed with 5.0 scoreless innings, fanning five while scattering four hits and a walk. Humberto Arteaga and Carlos Garcia each drove in a run for the Legends.

The Chukars split a pair at home vs. Helena. Omaha's Sugar Ray Marimon made a rehab start in game one, holding the Brewers to a run over 4.0 innings. Brandon Downes hit his first professional homer, a solo shot in the sixth. He was Kansas City's seventh-round pick in June. Samir Duenez added two doubles and two runs. Ryan O'Hearn delivered a two-run walk-off homer in the eighth inning of game two. He's batting .384, fourth in the league. Robert Pehl posted three hits and two RBI. Corey Toups reached base four times and scored three runs.

Burlington Royals (20-24)

The Royals had Wednesday off. They are at Johnson City (Cardinals) tonight.
