Omaha lost a second straight to finish with a 2-2 series split. Bruce Chen made a rehab start, allowing four runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out one over 4.0 innings. He threw 56 pitches, 40 for strikes. Clayton Mortensen tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in relief, striking out six. Brett Eibner was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs. Johnny Giavotella added three hits, raising his average to .299 (46-for-154).

NW Arkansas Naturals (21-40)

A scheduled doubleheader in North Little Rock turned into one contest due to wet grounds. The game took two hours to complete, with two hours and 13 minutes of delays. The Naturals plated two in the first and never looked back. Cheslor Cuthbert recorded three hits and three RBI. He's ranked 19th among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Andy Ferguson, a native of Arkansas, struck out six while scattering five hits and two walks over 6.0 innings. Noel Arguelles fanned two in a 1-2-3 seventh.

Wilmington scored nine runs in the fifth en route to a 10-4 win. Michael Antonio and Mark Donato hit back-to-back homers, with Antonio's blast a three-run shot. The inning also included a two-run single by seventh-ranked Royals prospect Bubba Starling and an RBI double by Hunter Dozier, who is ranked sixth. Donato and 16th-ranked prospect Zane Evans had three hits apiece. Dozier added a solo homer, finishing with two hits, two RBI and two runs.

Lexington Legends (26-37)

The Legends played a third straight one-run game, losing 1-0. Luke Farrell held the GreenJackets to an unearned run over 6.0 innings. He fanned five and walked a pair. Kevin Kuntz posted a double and a walk. Carlos Garcia, Dexter Kjerstad and Ramon Torres added singles. Torres extended his hitting streak to eight games (.485, 16-for-33).
