Sugar Ray Marimon tossed seven innings to lead the Storm Chasers to a second straight win. Marimon struck out four while allowing seven hits, one run and no walks. Kameron Loe worked two innings for his first save. Omaha scored twice in both the second and third innings. Matt Fields was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.

NW Arkansas Naturals (11-19)

The Naturals and Travelers followed Saturday's marathon with nine innings, totaling 24 innings in under 24 hours. Royals' No. 4 prospect Jorge Bonifacio was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run. He has hit safely in nine of 10 games at a .364 clip (16-for-44). Whit Merrifield posted two hits, an RBI and a run. He has also hit in nine of 10 games, recording a .368 average (14-for-38). Mark Threlkeld added two hits, including a two-run homer.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (13-14)

The Blue Rocks won a third straight to finish 3-1 at Carolina, allowing just one run in each of the wins. Daniel Stumpf fanned seven, holding the Mudcats to one run on four hits and a walk over 6 2/3 innings. Wilmington plated a pair in the seventh, with Carolina scoring in the home half. Jack Lopez was 2-for-4 with an RBI while Bubba Starling recorded two hits. Starling is ranked eighth among Royals prospects by MLB.com

Lexington Legends (12-18)

Hagerstown 10, Lexington 8

The Legends dropped to 1-2 at Hagerstown. Rehabbing Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos gave the Suns a 4-1 lead with a three-run homer off of Cody Reed. Michael Antonio, Humberto Arteaga and Carlos Garcia had three hits apiece. Arteaga and Garcia scored three times each. Arteaga, KC's 19th-ranked prospect, added two walks, reaching five times.
