Royals recall Christian Colon, Aaron Crow, Terrance Gore, Liam Hendriks

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 2, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have recalled infielder Christian Colon, outfielder Terrance Gore and right-handed pitchers Aaron Crow and Liam Hendricks from Northwest Arkansas (AA) to the Major League roster. All four players will be in uniform for tonight's 7:10 game against the Texas Rangers.

Gore, 23, spent time at three levels of the Royals system this season, most recently hitting .250 (5-for-20) over 17 games with Omaha (AAA). He opened the year at Wilmington (A-Advanced), playing in 89 games for the Blue Rocks, batting .218 with eight doubles, a triple and 36 stolen bases. He was the Royals' 20th-round selection in the 2011 June Free Agent Draft. Colon, Crow and Hendriks have all spent time in the Major Leagues this season.

The Royals also announced that Naturals manager Vance Wilson will join the Kansas City staff as an additional coach, which is permitted by Major League rules in September.
