Searching for Santa annual holiday tours to be held at Globe Life Park in Arlington from Dec. 4-23

Tickets for children's holiday event go on sale today

The Texas Rangers today announced that the second annual children's holiday event, Searching for Santa will take place at Globe Life Park in Arlington beginning TODAY, Friday, December 4 and running through Wednesday, December 23.

Tickets for the event are on sale now at texasrangers.com/santa.

This fun-filled "SEARCH" for youngsters of all ages will include cookies, hot cocoa, games, cookie decorating and other activities. The Searching for Santa tour will encompass a number of Globe Life Park locations during its 14-day run. Santa will only be at Globe Life Park as part of two special tours on Saturday, December 19.

With the Searching for Santa tour, each youngster participating will receive a series of clues as he or she visits different locations where Santa Claus "has visited", including his press box workshop and media room, his own personal locker in the Rangers home clubhouse, the dugout stable where the reindeer sleep, and Santa's private elevator. The final destination for the December 19 special tours is the Kids Zone, where youngsters will have their pictures taken with Santa and Rangers Captain, receive a collectible mini bat, and be able to participate in the activities on the interactive playground.

Searching for Santa tours will be given daily from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (closed Sundays and Mondays). After-hour twilight tours will take place on two Fridays, December 11 and 18 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be two special tours featuring photos with Santa on Saturday, December 19 at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. All tours begin at the Globe Life Park Tour Gate, which is located on Randol Mill Road. Free parking is available in the B Lot.

TEXAS RANGERS ANNOUNCE 2016 SPRING TRAINING REPORTING DATES

The Texas Rangers today announced the reporting and first workout dates for the team's 2016 major league spring training camp in Surprise, Arizona. Pitchers and catchers will report on Thursday, February 18 and work out for the first time the following day. The reporting date for infielders and outfielders is Tuesday, February 23 with the first full squad workout scheduled for Wednesday, February 24. Texas begins its spring training schedule on Wednesday, March 2 versus the defending World Champion Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium.
