"Spartan Race" Returns to Citizens Bank Park September 20

Special registration discount for Phillies fans if register by July 20

Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies, is hosting its second-ever Spartan Race on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Spartan Race, the world's leading obstacle racing series, was voted Outside Magazine's "Best Obstacle Race" in 2012. With more than 500,000 participants and 60+ events planned around the globe in 2014, Spartan Race is trailblazing the creation of one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

For one day only, fans will have a chance to run a time trial through one of the best ballparks in Major League Baseball, Citizens Bank Park! Spartan Race will set up the obstacles around the interior of the ballpark, using existing structures and contours along with specially-designed obstacles.

"We are very excited to bring Spartan Race back to Citizens Bank Park in 2014. We had our first race in Philadelphia at the ballpark last year and it is a great venue with such a unique setting," said Joe DeSena, CEO and Spartan Race founder. "You may not think you have it in you. But you do. And you'll see what you're capable of on September 20th."
