Ted Drewes among three additions to Ballpark Village
Piano bar, Japanese restaurant also sign on for project near Busch Stadium
ST. LOUIS -- Three additional tenants, including St. Louis' iconic Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, have signed on to be a part of the first phase of Ballpark Village, the mixed-used development next to Busch Stadium that is projected to open by Opening Day 2014.
The Cardinals announced Thursday that along with Ted Drewes, Howl at the Moon and Drunken Fish are also slated to be a part of the first phase of development. The Budweiser Brew House, Cardinals Nation, Live! Marketplace and PBR St. Louis - A Cowboy Bar were previously announced as first-phase tenants.
Ted Drewes, which has two other St. Louis locations, is expected to be sold at the Live! Marketplace and also from a kiosk on the exterior event plaza, which will sit on the former Busch Stadium infield.
Howl at the Moon is a dueling piano bar that markets itself as a high-energy concept centered around live music and audience participation. It will be located on the second floor in the northwest corner of Ballpark Village in a 5,000-square-foot space.
The Drunken Fish restaurant is locally owned and will feature sushi and Japanese cuisine. It will occupy a space of approximately 5,250 square feet on the northeast corner of the first floor.
In Thursday's news release, the Cardinals announced that tenant opportunities remain for this first phase of Ballpark Village and that additional tenants will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
