Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation ring raffle winner announced

Over 7,000 entries received

Over the past five months, Texas Rangers fans have purchased over 7,000 tickets to the team’s Baseball Foundation Ring Raffle. On Wednesday night, the lucky winner was selected.

Palmer Howard of Allen, Texas was selected in the random drawing of all the entries and will receive a personalized 2011 American League Championship Ring. The ring, the same one that the players on the 2011 A.L. Champion Rangers received in April, is adorned with 150 round-cut diamonds and the trademark Texas “T”.

Howard will receive his ring on Fan Appreciation Day, Sunday, September 30.

“The Texas Rangers Foundation wants to congratulate Palmer for winning the Ring Raffle and to thank the thousands of fans who participated,” commented Rangers Foundation President Jim Sundberg.

This is the second consecutive year in which the Rangers Baseball Foundation has held an A.L. Championship Ring Raffle.
