Second most-watched sport in the world comes to Houston for the first time on November 11

HOUSTON, TX - On November 11, several of the world's top cricket players will take the pitch at Minute Maid Park for the first time ever as part of the "Cricket All-Star Series." The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. CT and will be televised globally in over 100 countries to more than one billion people. The match will be aired on ESPN in America and on Star in India.

Media wishing to cover the event can contact Mandy O'Donnell at [email protected].

The "Cricket All-Stars" kicks off on November 7 at Citi Field in New York City. The second match will be on November 11 at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The final match in the series will be on November 14 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The format will be T20, a much shorter and boisterous form of cricket with the games taking around three hours.

As part of the historic series, captains Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne want to give fans a chance to predict what the final rosters will be for the matches. Lucky winners who guess the final lineups are eligible for a special meet-and-greet with the players in New York, tickets to the matches and autographed bats. "Sachin's Blasters" and "Warne's Warriors" will feature some of the best players in recent history including Ricky Ponting (Australia), Brian Lara (West Indies), Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka), Wasim Akram (Pakistan), Jonty Rhodes (South Africa) and Michael Vaughan (England).
