Dynasty-league rankings: Midseason update

The non-waiver Trade Deadline has come and gone. When the dust settled during the weekend, dynasty fantasy leagues had their winners and losers.

Among the winners were prospects traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, with whom each should have an ample opportunity to earn aggressive promotions to the Majors. Among the losers is pitching prospect Jeff Hoffman, who will be forced to call Coors Field home if he is lucky enough to reach the big leagues.

As with my previous rankings from the spring, I recommend that owners who play in shallower keeper leagues lower their prospects and slightly raise starting pitchers in the rankings. And, as evidenced by my rankings, I continue to strongly prefer the reliability of hitters to the volatility of starting pitchers.
