Sanchez set to make rehab start Saturday

Right-hander out since mid-June with strained lat

KANSAS CITY -- The Blue Jays have established the continuing rehabilitation course for right-hander Aaron Sanchez, who continues to work his way back from a strained lat that forced him to the disabled list on June 14, retroactive to June 6.

Manager John Gibbons said Sanchez is scheduled to throw up to 50 pitches on Saturday for Class A Dunedin. If all goes well from a health standpoint, Sanchez would settle into a rotation routine with another outing scheduled for Thursday with Triple-A Buffalo on four days rest.

"We'll want to start stretching him out a little bit," Gibbons said.

Sanchez would then pitch again on July 21. He was 5-4 with a 3.55 ERA in 11 starts before the injury.
