Tribe faces Cubs, Rays and Tigers in Eight-Game Homestand

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians return to Progressive Field for an eight-game homestand against the Cubs (June 17-18), Rays (June 19-21) and Tigers (June 22-24). Weekend highlights include 1995 Celebration Friday and Saturday, and Sunday KeyBank Kids Fun Day featuring a Kids Cap (5,000 fans 12 and under) and Kids Run the Bases courtesy of Cleveland Clinic Children's.

 

1995 CELEBRATION WEEKEND - JUNE 19 & 20

The Cleveland Indians will honor the 1995 American League Champion team during a weekend celebration June 19 and 20. Thirteen players from the '95 team -- including Jim Thome, Charles Nagy, Kenny Lofton, Dennis Martinez and Carlos Baerga -- will be in town throughout the weekend for special events and in-park celebrations.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30PM Friday and Saturday to enjoy pregame celebrations and recognitions that will take place on field. Stick around postgame Friday for the raising of the '95 A.L. Champs flag, followed by fireworks set to the music of the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and postgame Saturday fireworks set to music from 1995 presented by CarMax.

Also on Saturday, fans are invited to attend the 1995 Indians Reunion event at PlayhouseSquare's Connor Palace Theatre from 2-5PM. Attendees will enjoy an exclusive Q&A session with members of the team, followed by a screening of "Wahoo! What a Finish!" Tickets can be purchased at Indians.com/1995 for $30.

Blood Drive in Gateway Plaza: The American Red Cross will be hosting a Blood Drive from 11:30AM-6:30PM on Gateway Plaza. Fans can donate for the chance to win Indians tickets and memorabilia and will receive a free gift from Cleveland Clinic! Those interested in donating are encouraged to schedule a time by visiting redcrossblood.org. Appointments will take 45 minutes. Walk-ups are also welcome.

1995 20th Anniversary Celebration: Members of the '95 A.L. Championship team will be in town Friday and Saturday to celebrate and remember the historic season. Pregame ceremonies will take place around 6:30 with on field presentations and Dennis Martinez tossing the ceremonial first pitch to Sandy Alomar. The festivities will continue postgame with the team hoisting the '95 A.L. Champ flag at the right field flag poles.

Pregame party: Come down to the ballpark early to enjoy pregame activities and a performance by DJ Steph Floss on the RTA Summer Stage and DJ Brent Schmidt at The Corner.

Alumni autographs: Carlos Baerga and Alvaro Espinoza will be on hand for fan autographs in Heritage Park from 6PM-6:30PM.

Uber representatives will be at The Corner: Uber Cleveland will be at The Corner bar passing out tchotchkes and providing fans with a passcode for a free ride up to $20.

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run: Saturday morning 24 participants ages 7-14 will take the field for MLB's annual Pitch, Hit and Run competition presented by Scotts. Winners of today's competition will move on to the National Finals at the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Cincinnati, OH.

Play catch on the field for Father's Day: Celebrate Father's Day by playing catch on the field! Tickets are $15 with all proceeds going to Cleveland Indians Charities, and can be purchased online at Indians.com/PlayCatch or during game day in the Terrace Club lobby. There will be two sessions with 300 people in each session. Spots will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Kids Cap, courtesy of Cleveland Clinic's Children: Upon entering the gate, 5,000 fans 12 & under will receive a voucher for a cap courtesy of Cleveland Clinic Children's. Vouchers can be redeemed at the Slider Stage on the Family Deck. Fans can only redeem the offer up to the seventh inning.

KeyBank Kids Fun Day: Back for another season, KeyBank Kids Fun Day will take place every Sunday of 2015. Families can enjoy kid-friendly activities in the newly renovated Kids Clubhouse including performances from Manny The Magician, Great Lakes Science Center, Jungle Terry face painters, caricature artists and a pregame interview with a current Indians player.

Kids Run the Bases Presented by Cleveland Clinic Children's: Young Tribe fans will have the opportunity to run the bases like their favorite players after the game! All kids (12 & under) can stay immediately after the game to take part, and 100 participants will receive an item from Cleveland Clinic Children's when they're finished.

United Way Stuff the Bus: United Way will be collecting books prior to Sunday's game in an effort to stuff the bus with children's and young adult books (grades K-8) and put them into the hands of children in our community.

Win a Step2 gift package: Head to the Kids Clubhouse and enter to win a summer fun gift package from Step2; winner drawn in the 8th inning.

Purell post-game sampling: Fans are able to take free samples of Purell hand sanitizer after the game. Samples will be available at all gates.
