Triple Crown-Winning Trainer Bob Baffert to Throw Dodgers' First Pitch on June 9
WHAT: Hall of Fame Thoroughbred trainer Bob Baffert will throw out the first pitch before the Dodgers' 7:10 p.m. game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Baffert will be on the field before the pitch for approximately one hour and available to media for interviews.
WHEN: Tuesday, June 9 from 6-7 p.m. (approximately)
WHO: Bob Baffert
- Trainer of Sante Anita-based American Pharoah, who with his victory at Saturday's Belmont Stakes became the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.
- Has won a total of 12 Triple Crown races (Kentucky Derby four times, Preakness six times and Belmont twice) and 10 Breeders' Cup races, including the 2014 Breeders' Cup Classic
- Hall of Fame trainer based in Santa Anita Park; resident of La Canada
