Walker hits two HRs, sparks Miracle comeback
Twins No. 13 prospect goes 3-for-5 with a double for Class A Fort Myers
Outfielder Adam Brett Walker, the Twins' No. 13 prospect, homered twice in the last two innings Friday, leading Class A Advanced Fort Myers to a comeback victory at Clearwater. The Miracle scored six unanswered runs and defeated the Threshers, 7-4.
Walker ignited the comeback with a leadoff home run in the eighth inning. Fort Myers added four more runs in the frame to take the lead. Walker added an insurance run in the ninth when he, again, led off the inning with a homer.
In addition to his home runs, Walker also doubled. He went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs on the night.
Walker has hit five home runs in his last seven games and now leads the Florida State League with 12. In 51 games this season, he is hitting .236 with a .745 OPS and has struck out 60 times.
Twins No. 7 prospect Eddie Rosario added a hit and an RBI for the Miracle on Friday.
