Twins reinstate Josh Willingham
Ryan Doumit Placed on 7-Day Disabled List
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned Josh Willingham from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list. Willingham appeared in three rehab games for Triple-A Rochester, going 1-for-9 (.111) with one home run and two walks.
Originally placed on the 15-day disabled list July 2 (retro July 1), he missed the Twins last 33 games after having surgery July 3 to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee.
Additionally, the Twins place catcher Ryan Doumit on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion (retroactive to August 8).
