Twins unveil new food items available at Target Field

The Twins unveiled their 2014 Target Field food lineup on Tuesday, announcing the additions of several unique food options.

At the Butcher and the Boar Grill inside Gate 34 at the stadium, the Twins will serve a barbeque basket of rib tips with house-made spicy pickles. Butcher and the Boar itself is a new addition to the ballpark, and it will feature local craft beers and Knob Creek bourbon.

Meanwhile, Valentini's Supper Club added a pair of items to the menu, including the Porketta Slugger -- porketta and cream cheese in an eggroll, served with sauce -- and the Italian Burger -- a meatball in the form of a patty, served as a hamburger and topped with pepperoni, provolone and red sauce.

As for dessert, the Twins added hand-dipped Izzy's Ice Cream to the menu -- another staple of the Minnesota community.

"Sportservice is proud to have an outstanding lineup of foods and beverages for fans at Target Field, and we're making room for a few more regionally inspired options and specialty beverages," said Pete Spike, general manager for Delaware North Companies Sportservice, the Twins' retail partner.

Sportservice will also serve a smoked BBQ brisket sandwich at the Gate 6 Carvery, specialty cider cocktails at the portable concession carts and "The Bigger, Better, Burger Bloody Mary" -- a bloody mary and a burger served together.

"The Twins will continue to make food and beverage offerings a top priority to enhance the overall gameday experience at Target Field," Twins president Dave St. Peter said. "The high-quality products, local favorites and unparalleled selection have played a significant role in making Target Field one of America's greatest sports venues."
